| As a valuable member of the dental health care team, dental assistants take on significant responsibilities, which greatly increase the efficient delivery of oral health care. Dental assistants work directly with dentists and perform a wide range of tasks requiring both interpersonal and technical skills.
Dental Assisting is a 690-hour program. The program includes classroom, lab and clinical experiences. The program has been approved by the NYS Department of Education as a Certified Dental Assisting Program. Upon successful completion, graduates are eligible to take the NYS Dental Board exam, which leads to licensure.

Dates class is running can be found on the main Health Occupations web page. Class will run from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. Students who successfully complete the program will receive a BOCES Certificate of Completion. Click here for a sample TABE test.
