Baby Think It Over The purpose of the Baby Think It Over Program is to give young people the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about parenting. The parenting simulation uses the Baby Think It Over infant simulator to offer an experience that simulates the parenting of an infant. The Program explores the emotional, financial, and social consequences of parenting. The Baby Think It Over Program is intended to help people understand three important facts: 1. Infants require a great deal of time and attention. 2. Infants’ demands are unpredictable but must be met promptly. 3. Parenting responsibilities impact one’s lifestyle profoundly. Although teens are susceptible to peer pressure, they do not necessarily listen to the warnings of others. Research shows that many students learn best through experiential based learning. They, through Baby Think It Over, must experience the responsibilities of parenting for themselves. The Baby Think It Over Program explores many aspects of the parenting experience. The parenting simulation solidly reinforces the three facts outlined above. The curriculum and parenting simulation together is a powerful tool to give an insightful picture of parenting. |
