People working in the welding and metal fabrication industries join materials using a variety of methods. They work in construction, manufacturing, repair, and maintenance settings. Welding equipment is either hand-held or computer controlled. The Welding Technology program at B. Ramer Tech is a two-year program designed to give students who complete the course the basic skills needed to be employable in the welding and metal fabrication industry. Students work to complete the American Welding Society Entry Level Welder’s Qualification and will build a portfolio of projects, workmanship tests, and guided bend tests that will prepare them for success in a variety of employment settings.
