This site helps teachers locate and create ready-to-use Web lessons, quizzes, rubrics and classroom calendars. There are also tools for student use. Discover valuable professional development resources addressing issues such as equity, ELL, technology planning, and at-risk or special-needs students.

SchoolTools.us is a Web-based educational system that allows educators, students, parents, policy makers and other educational stake holders to analyze educational information, gather resources and work collaboratively to improve instruction and student achievement. SchoolTools provides teachers with a set of professional development tools directly linked to their students' needs. SchoolTools also provides educational stake holders with a powerful new Internet toolset to evaluate programs and policies and to see firsthand the curriculum, instruction, and assessment techniques that teachers use to improve student learning.

Nassau BOCES (in partnership with Teacher Centers): online professional development, turn-key training, online mentoring and online course development. The professional online resources in our project are designed to assist students in achieving higher academic performance and attaining knowledge and skills required in the 21st century and global economy.Our resources also include hundreds of MarcoPolo lessons aligned to the New York State standards, drilled down to key ideas and performance indicators. In addition, two sets of standards, one for Online Learning and one for Videoconferencing, were created. |
- Oswego City School District: State test preparation resources for state assessments and other resource. The site also includes tutorials, practice pages, teacher resources and literature connections that are aligned to the state core curriculum.

The Syracuse City School District, and the Living SchoolBook (LSB) and Information Institute of Syracuse at Syracuse University have been working together as a part of NY State Education Department’s Virtual Learning Space grant to scale a suite of educational tools for a larger statewide audience. During the past five years, these web-based tools were developed collaboratively from the ideas of visionary teachers and university faculty members to enhance their own, and more importantly, their students' classroom learning experiences. They are dynamic content in action tools.

- Services for Teachers and Students from the NYS Archives: Historical records can be an integral part of a learning process in which students discuss, analyze, think critically, and develop skills that help them understand cause and effect relationships, change, chronology, and more. The New York State Archives encourages the educational use of historical records in a variety of ways.

- The New York State Library is part of the Office of Cultural Education, within the New York State Education Department. Since its establishment in 1818 the State Library has been a repository for the official publications of the executive, legislative, and judicial branches, commissions, public authorities, and other agencies of the State government.

It's a great option for individuals, students and anyone who doesn't need the advanced features of SurveyMonkey. Basic subscribers are limited to a total of 10 questions and 100 responses per survey.
- Zoomerang: www.zoomerang.com is a limited-feature version. Zoomerang zPro lets you ask up to 30 questions and collect up to 100 responses per survey. Results expire after 10 days. Ongoing membership is free.
