People of the Pacific retells the story of the migration of the Maori from their ancestral homeland of Hawaiki, through the islands of Polynesia and concluding with the arrival of the Maori in their homeland of Aotearoa, New Zealand. This presentation features songs and dances from Tahiti, Hawaii, Samoa and New Zealand, is visually stimulating with the traditional regalia of each island, is highly educational and brilliantly entertaining. The program includes narrations for each island, plenty of audience participation, healthy doses of humor and enjoyment and a question & answer session at the conclusion. Suitable for school audiences Grades K - 12, this program can also be adapted to suit college and older audiences. |

In Motion 360 Mr. Latta demonstrates how we can literally stumble over everyday objects to unlock our creativity. He creates dances using objects that range from the specialized, (stilts and masks), to the ordinary, (rollerblades and chairs). We learn that they can be used to explore our dreams, aspirations and ambitions as well as different aspects of our personalities (e.g. our artistic side, our confident side, our romantic side, our shy side, etc.). They are tools for self-discovery and self-realization. They are tools for creative problem solving to be used personally and in any classroom. With curriculum tie-ins to social studies/ history, science, art and theater, psychology and a wide variety of musical sources, Motion 360 presents a new and fun approach to learning that is appropriate for all ages.
