SCOPE

The Instructional Technology section of the Instructional Support Services Department at Oswego County BOCES is currently offering several classes and workshops to aid staff and faculty of BOCES and its school districts with their technology training needs. These courses will enable you to better utilize the technology (both hardware and software) that you currently have at your disposal.

PROCESS

Currently, Oswego County BOCES utilizes the My Learning Plan Web Registration system to enable signing up for classes and workshops. It is our hope that this new registration process will make managing our events much more streamlined for both the event coordinators and you the participant. You will now have one place where you can find the most current information about the events in which you wish to participate. After signing up you will also receive any and all updates about your events via this system. If your organization currently uses My Learning Plan then all approval for your attendance is done within that system. If your organization does not participate then you will be asked to print out a form to be signed and then faxed to complete the enrollment process.

CATALOGS

You can find the Instructional Technology Training Catalog by clicking the link to the right. In this catalog you will see the list of courses currently available and the descriptions for those courses. Click on any title of any course to sign up for that course.
You can find the entire Oswego County BOCES training & workshop catalog by clicking the link to the right. This catalog will contain workshops available from the Oswego County BOCES Instructional Support Services department and may be quite extensive. When viewing this catalog you will have the option to narrow your search to the different sub-sections of ISS (like RADIICAL, Model Schools or Instructional Technology) and in that way see the classes/workshops/events that you are most interested in.

IMPORTANT

Please note that you will be required to create an account in the My Learning Plan (Web Registration) system in order to sign up for these classes and/or workshops if you do not already have one. This process is very fast and can be done when you sign up for your first class. This registration system is not part of the Oswego County BOCES computer network and therefore if you do not create an account you will not be able to use this system. This WebRegistration system is the only way to sign up for classes as we no longer accept email, telephone or fax requests.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Classes may be cancelled no later than 24 hours prior to class time for the following reasons:

• Insufficient enrollment
• Bad Weather
• Loss of power at host facility
• Other reasons

WITHDRAWAL POLICY

Please do not withdraw from a class less than 24 hours from the date and time of the class. If you are within the 24 hour window and must withdraw please be sure to contact the course provider immediately using one of the contact options below.

REFUND POLICY

There is no refund policy at this time as course participants do not pre-pay before attending. No billing occurs unless the course is held as scheduled.
