Professional Development Workshops

AdminNETS-A

The Model Schools Program at Oswego County BOCES is commited to helping administrators promote and evaluate the use of technology in the classroom.  Model Schools provides assistance with the planning and implementation of staff development about the use of technology in the classroom to increase student achievement. We also provide workshops specifically targeting the use of technology for administrators.

NETS For Administrators
"Integrating technology throughout a school system is, in itself, significant systemic reform. We have a wealth of evidence attesting to the importance of leadership in implementing and sustaining systemic reform in schools.  It is critical, therefore, that we attend seriously to leadership for technology in schools."  — Don Knezek, ISTE CEO
Looking They Are Here! - ISTE launched the refresh of the NETS•A at NECC 2008 in San Antonio and the new standards have been released.

Register for Model Schools Workshops at My Learning Plan!

Currently, Oswego County BOCES utilizes My Learning Plan as the way in which you will sign up for classes and workshops for training offered by the Model Schools Program.

You can find the entire Oswego County BOCES training & workshop catalog by clicking the link in this line. This catalog will contain workshops available from the Oswego County BOCES Instructional Support Services department and may be quite extensive. When viewing this catalog you will have the option to narrow your search to the different sub-sections of ISS (like RADIICAL, Model Schools or Instructional Technology) and in that way see the classes/workshops/events that you are most interested in.

IMPORTANT

Please note that you will be required to create an account in the My Learning Plan (WebRegistration) system in order to sign up for these classes and/or workshops if you do not already have one. This process is very fast and can be done when you sign up for your first class. This registration system is not part of the Oswego County BOCES computer network and therefore if you do not create an account you will not be able to use this system. This WebRegistration system is the only way to sign up for classes as we no longer accept email, telephone or fax requests.
