T3 for Teachers - Technology Tips Thursdays Fall topics are now posted! These workshops will be a combination of sharing integration tips and creating materials for the classroom. Monthly workshops will be held on each date from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. Date Topic Summary June 5, 2008 What's New at Thinkfinity? During this session teachers will have time to explore the new features and layout of Thinkfinity.org. There are many new additions since the Verizon Foundation took over the Marco Polo website, especially for those interested in literacy. October 2, 2008 Blogs for the Classroom Come and learn about how to use this great new technology that your students are probably already using!  Observe how blogs are being integrated across the curriculum, used in professional development, and used to increase community, home, and school communication. November 13, 2008 Social Bookmarking This workshop will share ways in which you can create a social bookmarking site for your class to incorporate into their research and daily curriculum activities! December 4, 2008 Google Tools for Educators Learn about the free tools available from Google that can be used in the classroom. January 5, 2009 "Cooking" with Excel Charts Do you know how to create charts in Excel? Want to learn some tips and tricks to “kick them up a notch”? This workshop is for you! February 5, 2009 Using Wikis in the Classroom Come and learn about what a wiki is, and how you can utilize it in your classroom. Explore many examples of wikis and start your own to integrate in your curriculum, by using the power of collaboration and your students' knowledge. This catalog will contain workshops available from the Oswego County BOCES Instructional Support Services department and may be quite extensive. When viewing this catalog you will have the option to narrow your search to the different sub-sections of ISS (like RADIICAL, Model Schools or Instructional Technology) and in that way see the classes/workshops/events that you are most interested in. IMPORTANT Please note that you will be required to create an account in the My Learning Plan (WebRegistration) system in order to sign up for these classes and/or workshops if you do not already have one. This process is very fast and can be done when you sign up for your first class. This registration system is not part of the Oswego County BOCES computer network and therefore if you do not create an account you will not be able to use this system.
