Increasing Student Achievement on 
Middle Level ELA for Struggling Learners

Students who receive remedial and Special Education supports are not being as successful as we need them to be on the ELA 8.  We have designed a year long series of trainings assigned to enhance teachers' understandings and skills needed for all students to be more successful in ELA 8.

 Design and delivering of effective supplemental services (RTI, AIS, Resource, etc.)
Session 3:

 Prioritizing skills for student success and strategies to address the priorities
Session 4:

 Mar. 13 or Mar. 15

 Strategies to support reading in the content areas
Session 5:

 Apr. 17 or Apr. 19

 Test preparedness for each ELA section and study strategies to motivate students
