Severely Multiply Disabled Program Overview
The Oswego County BOCES 12:1:4 programs address the academic, communication, social/emotional and vocational needs of students through innovative individualized programming. A rich educational program is provided for, by addressing classroom academics, vocational experiences and related services as dictated by each student's IEP. Programming is provided at the following levels: Elementary, Junior High and Senior High
1. Classroom locations currently reside within district public school buildings, thereby providing the students an age appropriate academic and social environment. 2. The Vocational Training Program (VTP) is a hands-on employment training program that is started as students enter their Junior High school year. 3. Related Services are directed by the students IEP and may consist of: Adaptive Physical Education Audiology/Deaf Education Services Counseling Occupational Therapy Physical Therapy Speech and Language Services Vision Services Nursing Services
