![]() Multi Occ II is designed for students 16-17 years of age. Students participate in four ten-week modules and attend the program five afternoons each week. Students are placed in modules according to interest, choice, and skills determined in Multi-Occ I. Students who did not attend Multi-Occ I are placed in modules based on a former assessment of interests and aptitudes. In Multi-Occ II, more specific information is taught to prepare students for an occupational placement. As in Multi Occ I students receive hands-on experience, as well as classroom experience, to reinforce related concepts, vocabulary, and math skills. At the end of each ten-week module, students receive a written progress report assessing their specific occupational hands-on skills, work habits, and social skills. In addition, students completing Multi-Occ II exit with a portfolio containing interests, aptitudes, and experiential information. Student skills, interests and behaviors are also assessed at the end of Multi Occ II. The Multi Occ staff recommends programming for the following school year. Current program options include a second year of Multi Occ II, Multi Occ III, and Occ Ed w/Resource, Career Technical Education, or a workstudy program. Recommendations are forwarded to the Committee on Special Education or appropriate home school district personnel.
