 Substitute Teachers - Apply Online
Substitute Teachers who specialize in any of the following areas are needed for the CTE Vocational Classes: carpentry/construction, heavy equipment, Motorsports, Outdoor Power/Small Engine Repair, Automotive, Computers, Culinary, Early Childhood, Auto Body, Welding, New Vision Health, New Vision Specialized Careers, and New Vision Law & Government.

 Clinical Nursing Instructor - Part-time - Apply Online
The Career and Technical Education department has a part-time position in the Nursing Assistant Program. Duties include supervising and evaluating students during clinical rotations at area long-term care facilities. Applicant must be an RN with geriatric experience.

 Substitute Teachers of the Deaf - Apply Online
The Exceptional Education Department has an ongoing need for substitute teachers of the deaf. The position is itinerant, working within all 9 component school districts in Oswego County and with all grade levels. Teacher of the deaf certification and personal transportation is required.

 Special Ed. School Improvement Specialist - Apply Online
The Center for Instruction, Technology & Innovation (CiTi) is seeking a full-time (11-month) position working with school districts, assisting them in planning to sustain high quality practices in all academic and school support areas for special education instruction in order to improve outcomes for students with disabilities.

Support areas include:

•Working with school leadership on professional development.
•Facilitating the development and implementation of district Quality Improvement Plans (QIP).
•Preparing and submitting annual budget and grant requirements.

Regular monthly travel required to Syracuse and/or Albany to attend statewide meetings. Looking for experience in research-based practices in literacy instruction, behavioral supports and interventions and specially-designed instructional practices (NYS requirements for special education). Successful candidate must have a Master’s degree in special education and five years experience in teaching students with disabilities at the elementary or secondary level and/or administration of special education programs for students with disabilities desired.  Part-time Financial Aid Advisor - Apply Online
Oswego County BOCES has an anticipated opening for a part-time Financial Aid Advisor. Hours per week will vary depending on the time of the year. Knowledge of and experience in processing federal student financial aid required with clock-hour experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or other related field required. The candidate must be an Oswego County resident and will be required to take and pass the Civil Service exam.

 Substitute Custodial Workers - Apply Online
Oswego County BOCES has an ongoing need for substitute custodial workers for the 2014-2015 school year. Applicants must be energetic, physically able, ability to read and understand directions. Must be able to work independently as well as in a team setting. Work hours will very, predominantly late afternoon to evenings. Pay rate is $8.37/hr.

 Anticipated Teaching Assistant/Interpreter - Apply Online
The Oswego County BOCES Special Education Department has an opening for a Teacher Assistant/Interpreter. Responsibilities include interpreting academic and life skills subjects to hearing impaired students in mainstreams and self-contained classes with a wide range of student populations in various locations. Some knowledge of Phonic Ear and FM equipment operation desirable. High school Diploma or GED and NYS Teacher Assistant Certification required within 40 days of appointment.

 Substitute Registered Nurses - Apply Online
Oswego County BOCES has an ongoing need for Registered Nurses to substitute for the Exceptional Education Department. Applicants must have valid NYS Nursing License and a current CPR Certification for Infant, Child and Adult. Pay rate is $15.40hr.

 ESL Tutor (Part-Time) - Apply Online
Part-time ESL tutors needed for migrant students (out-of-school-youth ages 16-21) for an in-home instructional program in Jefferson and/or Lewis counties. Teaching/outreach experience preferred, bilingual Spanish a plus. Maximum 19 hours per week, flexible hours and transportation necessary.
